Family backpacking tent
Idk how big the children are, but I have used a Big Agnes rattlesnake sl3 for 2 adults and 2 large dogs. And there was plenty of room for sleeping. Smaller children would fit just fine. But room for storage would be limited to the vestibule. Its lightweight and high quality tent.- MikeyA3

3 season tent in snow?
A good 3 season tent should do fine in the snow. Staking down and making sure its solid to the ground is important. Also use a footprint or something like it. Moisture loves to come up from the bottom of the tent always!- MikeyA3

Arizona OTC
If your in for a hard hunt for elk, there are a few OTC elk tags you can get around the state. You can find the info on the AZ game and fish website. They are low success hunts for management in areas elk are not wanted. Depending on when you're going I may be in an area hunting for them as well.- MikeyA3
