How much does technology play a role in your hunting/scouting?
I use google earth and onx almost everyday. Google earth allows me to find places to focus on. I then go out scouting and see if it is an area worth hunting. Harvest statistics and choosing a unit.
I wouldn't pay too much attention on year-over-year changes. I like to take each statistic and do a 5 year average. I also don't rely on harvest success % because most hunters aren't hunting like I do. It's also nice to see, on average, how many days hunters spend in the field. Unpublished... -

Is the price of gas hindering your out-of-state or in-state hunt plans?

Idaho Elk Zone Update
As most of you know IDFG instituted a cap for each zone for non-resident elk tags. Just wanted to see if you guys noticed less hunting pressure? Do you feel like the NR cap had a positive effect on pressure? I will say that I thought the Lemhi zone seemed less busy. -

I'm really impressed. You drew a "big bull" tag but didn't take it easy and assume it would be handed to you. I get bull fever and shoot the first bull I possibly can but you held out and harvested a great bull. Nice work! -

2021 Idaho Draw Results!
Struck out on my deer and antelope tag but drew my elk tag. Tag is valid from October 1 - October 31, any weapon, antlered only.
