    Hunting Rifle Triggers

Thanks for this. I will give it a go. I will say, the timmney is much better than the stock ruger trigger. I tested it at Scheels when I worked there and it was 9 lbs stock...

    Hunting Rifle Triggers

I have a Ruger m77 .270 win that i had a gunsmith put a Timmney in. I don't love it it made the three postion safety super stiff and sticky. Now I don't think I can totally blame this on the trigger I think this is partly to blame on the gunsmith. I have never tested it but it is a hair trigger...

    2025 gear game changer- wows!

I put one on my wife's rifle this last year and she loves it. I was worried about drilling the stock but then I decided its a piece of plastic and I need it to fit her. With that said I won't drill any of my wood stocks.

Cementum aged critters - Let’s see them..

I cant remember off the top of my head for sure but I think this one aged at 15. I wish MT would put paddle fish ages in the portal.

Cementum aged critters - Let’s see them..

Not that I needed the lab to tell me, but he was aged at 2. Sometimes a hunt comes down to the wire and you get what you get but I sure wish I could have found that "3 year old" OP got.

Small Bullets (.224) and BIG game

Shoot I shot a cow at 400 through both lungs with a 168 VLD hunter out of my 7 mag and watched her run over 3/4 of a mile before tipping over. I decided bergers weren't for me and switched to coppers. Proof right there that caliber isnt the end all be all.

Small Bullets (.224) and BIG game

After I saw Tyler Freel's video about shooting his moose with a 22 ARC I started to dive a little deeper in the small caliber conversation. Maybe I am a wuss or maybe I'm just starting to learn more things the older I get but I don't like recoil. I have a 7 mag that has relatively low recoil but...

    Another tikka tinkering project

Wanting a new caliber, different twist rate, or if the barrel is just shot out and its time for a new one to regain accuracy. The list goes on.

When did Caribou become a Premier Hunt

I have lived in MT my whole life. I remember looking in the hunters education booklet in 2007 when my older sister was in her class. I saw that Montana had a small remnant herd of caribou that would travel back and forth across the border. From that point at 9 years old I was enamored by the...

45-70 Henry Model X VS. Marlin 1895 SBL

Okay I have seen a few posts like this but I just need some input on these specific models. I am ready to pull the trigger on buying a 45-70 lever gun. For 10 years I wanted the Henry All Weather in 45-70. I like the look of it and I liked it being cerakoted I actually went to buy one last...

I ended up getting rid of the gun shortly after this but I am pretty sure I just wasn't getting the shoulder pushed back enough.

    Hammer loads for 30-06

I highly recommend you join Hammer Time. That is the forum for Hammer bullets. Steve the owner and the other mods are a super valuable resource. I have only done loads with my .308 so far but the biggest thing that I took away from loading Hammers is to mainly be concerned with speed. Just make...
