The trigger had been lightened prior to this work. I dont reload and i dont have the numbers in front of me. But i think i remember correctly in the 6.5 prc is .15-.25 longer than the 270 wsm
Model 70 classic stainless 270 WSM ~2004. Had problems with accuracy and rings/mounts coming loose. I Decided to rebuild the gun since i have always wanted to do a build. Finished product now wears the original action, bolt, bottom metal and trigger. The stock was replaced with an hs precision...

I ended up with a hs precision stock mainly because of compatability. I didnt want to be in the price range of someone having to inlet the entire thing. And a proof research sendero light cf barrel. Should be here tonight.
Who makes the extreme weather stock? What barrel profile is that? Ive never had my hands on an extreme weather. That build should be awesome. Ive been wanting to do my 70 classic for awhile. I was leaning towards a proof carbon barrel and hs stock. Trying to keep the stock to a dropin...
I have a crf winchester model 70 classic. I was looking to rebarrel it with a carbon barrel but have been looking for more of a drop in style fiberglass stock. The model 70 stocks are hard to come by. I was also looking to see builds with a sporter vs varmint stock and carbon barrels...
The main selling point for us was the fact you could seat 5 adults in it and keep the same frame length. Ive heard complaints about the back seats and debris falling down and whatnot. Its a utility vehicle. Its going to get dirty. I also like no belts and the fact i can put it in auto or...
I have been moving more and more to a shoulder shot on deer so the bloodshot is of minimal concern here. Here in missouri some of the tracts we hunt are small. And believe it or not, not all neighbors are friendly. What are the different twists in the 6mm’s. I didnt know if i needed to be...
I have recently acquired and put together a model 7 in 243. It has a 1-9.125 twist. I have always been a bonded, tougher designed bullet kind of guy. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts as to bullet choice here. I shoot accubonds in my 257 wby and have shot trophy bonded tips and...
It wasnt bad when weatherby dropped their prices. But they moved and im sure production lagged then the tremendous corona hit. So its been like a double dip on the bad side
I have the chance to buy a lot of weatherby factory ammo. 8 boxes of 4 bullet types. I mainly am interested in the accubonds. Would it be worthwhile to buy the lot and switch bullets. Or are the powder charges, etc likely to be different? Thanks for the info and opinions.
Yeah the seasons are alittle different. I drew muzzy tags because everyone that hunts our farm and the farms around us draw shotgun tags. So atleast it gives me 3 days alone with no one else pushing deer around. The weather for 3rd season looks alittle wet. But with that and the forecasted...
I shoot a prohunter fx. I did not have good results shooting pellets. I have switched to bh 209. The shockwaves shot good for me. But a colorado trip is planned so i have switched to powerbelt platinum 338s. That combo also shoots well at 100. I have not had time to tinker with powder...
2012 ford f250 with 6.7 powerstroke and 3.30 whatever gears ford has. I see typically 17-18 highway and 12 pulling my skidloader trailer with side by side. And 10-11 pulling our cm 38’ horse trailer. We use it for deer camp. Works out awesome by the way. All on stock size tires.
