Haven't made it up there yet. To much snow still to really get a decent look. Hopefully, in a few weeks time as the weather warms up.

    New to elk hunting

I half live in the Knoxville area and will retire there in a couple of years. If you are anywhere near the smokies try to take advantage of some elevation and hike it hard. It will pay dividends and let you see some of the most amazing landscapes out here.

    New to elk hunting

Salmonchaser made some great points. Chains, tow strap, traction boards, and shovels or anything else that might help you get out of a bind. Just wanted to echo on this advice because I live here and found myself buried in way more snow than I thought was on the ground this weekend and was...

    CO Offseason Comradery

Hey All, Wanted to reach out and see if there was anyone in the greater Colorado Springs area that is looking for some off-season comradery. I'm looking to do a lot of training, spike camping, shed hunting, fishing, and scouting through the off-season and figured there might be some others...

    CO Unit 66. Which season?

I'm going to put in for 66 as well this year, the first rifle though. I wanted to get up there this weekend and look at it before the draw but a nasty snowstorm moved in on us. Fortunately, I live here so I can work on getting in the right shape and scout a good bit but this is my first Elk hunt...

    48 Years of Memories...

BB, I just stumbled across this, and what an amazing lifetime of memories. Just lost my dad a few weeks ago and during times like this memories come back from over the years. The most prominent was the younger years in the backcountry. Since then I joined the military and just haven't been...
