This is true and definitely the leading factor in the entire issue. However it leads to the larger question of why young black men are more involved in crime/shootings in the first place. Talk to me about TN (Knoxville/Maryville area)
The deer hunting is considerably better the further west you go in TN. You lose the mountains but gain better deer numbers. The areas that border western KY also have good trophy potential.- SmTN

Getting back into hunting in Tennessee
The lifetime licenses are worth every penny when the kids are young. Wish my folks had that foresight when I was a kid but all mine will have one before they start school. -

I was in there 2 days last year. I was looking for elk during 2nd season, didn’t find any but saw lots of deer. -

Winchester model 70 - sporter vs featherweight?
Any gun needs to be cleaned before storage if you want it to stay in good condition. SS will resist rust better than blued but they’ll all rust eventually if exposed to moisture for long periods of time. -

First time hunting elk or out west. I’m working on a plan for second rifle in CO. After talking to a hunt planner over the phone I’m curious how valuable it is to hunt an area with a resident population. Reading through some of the other threads on here it sounds like most every unit holds elk...
