What do you burn
I use whatever the hardest wood I can find on the mountain usually mahogany for me. Usually burn down some aspen wood before bed and then stuff the hardwood in on top of the coals and turn it way down. How many quarts of ice chest for mature bull?
I would suggest frozen gallon jugs of water I fill a 150 qt cooler with them and they are usually still rock solid or close to it 6 to 7 days later. Idaho Unit 39 elk
I'm going to be hunting elk in 39 this November for the first time I usually hunt in northern Nevada. any tips you would be willing to share, elevations to look at and what they like to eat? I know its a busy unit and plan on getting off the road any tips would be much appreciated.- nvhunter07
