What would you do? One weekend of hunting mediocre Washington scabland mule deer or one weekend of scouting for elk for a solid bull tag in Montana?

Sounds like you’ll be in good shape for next year. It should be pretty easy hunting on unpressured bou once you get flown. Just don’t shoot the first legal bull you see, you’re bound to see plenty more larger ones later in the hunt.- thusby

You’re probably already too late, most of those guys are booking for 2028 right now. The folks we went this year just kind of dropped people wherever they could land a plane. Some did good, some took time to find bulls. Seems like most everyone had an opportunity to a shoot mature bulls, just...- thusby

You nailed it. Mining in the boundary waters has been a 30-year+ strawman. Whoever is in power gets the stick for a few whacks on it. There is no way a mine gets permitted and through every litigious action in our lifetimes, or probably ever.- thusby
