Ontario Moose WMU 1C
has anyone ever hunted moose in WMU 1C in Ontario? We will be going in October this year, and trying to gather as much info as possible. We are using Viking Outposts, and will be hunting on Dolphin Lake. It is on the southern end of McInnes lake in the southwestern part of WMU 1C. Seeking...- Watts

Is it strange that peak rut in Alaska (~10 degrees further north) would be at the same time or even later than in Ontario? from what I've seen, lope is right, peak rut is typically end of September / early October.- Watts

Thanks! Yes, using a float plane I saw costs anywhere from $1500 to $6000 in Ontario. It appears the difference in cost is mostly in flight times and amenities. I’m sure success rates go up with the price, though. We booked on the lower end of the price range. -
