    Have the Randy Gerber DTS but have my Benchmade Bugout on me and worked this last winter when I forgot my kit in the truck and wolves were howling closeby. Bugout worked well in a pinch and stayed pretty sharp. Love the DTS though.

    Check out the UGQ Bandit 20 deg. Very well made and made in USA (Michigan) rather than China as most others. Love mine all the way until starts getting down in teens.

    I would suggest the Benro SLIM Carbon Fiber Lightweight tripd and the S2 video head. It's light, rock steady, and won't break the bank. ~$200 for whole setup.
