    I’m hopefully going on my first archery solo elk hunt in Wyoming and I’m curious what everyone is using for an Oh Sh!+ plan. SOS button communication type of thing. I’m not really interested in buying an expensive thing but realize it might be a necessary investment.

    I’m in tan even worse pickle. Hoping to draw first elk tag, with my bow , going solo because nobody wants to go with me. Very limited knowledge but like the other person said. If you wait for others you probably won’t go….so I’m taking the plunge.

    Federal Trophy Copper Slug's causing damage to rifling?

    I shoot the trophy copper 3” 12 ga down my 24” fully rifled barrel and have killed 12+ deer. Tons of pass throughs at varying distances and extremely lethal. Love the flat shooting and the non lethal part even better that they seem to hold together and not send lead shrapnel into the meat.

    I won’t be able to make more than one trip. Traveling from MN but I’d like to find a place I can get familiar with. Something not crazy difficult so I can introduce my wife and kids to western hunting in the future. Call it an adventurous grocery trip lol

    I’m tempted to go out scout around and find permission then run to town buy my tag and go back and hunt. Not sure if that is a feasible option but something to research. I think in MN you can’t hunt the same day of buying your license.

    It’s definitely because it’s a hard unit. Little public hunting access. But it’s a 1/3 the price of CO otc bull tag which I might be looking at this year as well. Kinda last minute invite.

    Good point. I didn’t think about an echeck I just chalked it up to the cost of playing. My Wyoming buddy has an area he is familiar with. My job schedule limits me on my hunting time frame so it’ll be opening weekend plus a couple days. So it’s gonna be all antelope.
