I was just going through some of my 30-06 brass loading for my family deer camp. I noticed that a few of the necks were split as well and only on Remington, which would have been Core Lokt boxes that we shot. I bet there was some sort of recall that nobody ever found out about.
I have a Savage 12FV in 6.5MB. It’ll typically shoot anything I load for it in sub 1”. I haven’t shot any factory ammo through it, but have shot plenty of the 140/143gr Hornady offerings and they shoot great. I’d imagine that their factory versions would be perfectly fine. As stated above...
My brother managed to kill this old bastard that he’s been watching this year. We normally get regular looking 8s and 10s on our ridge in WI but this one is special.
I really enjoy my Creed for hunting whitetails. It fits perfectly for deer. But so do the other options listed at the beginning.
I've found it very easy to load for, easy on the shoulder target shooting, and (was) easy to find ammunition components.
As with anything, if you keep your...
I've heard that a lot of people have had good luck with Superformance in their 6.5 MB and found a pound of it while fishing in northern MN. I've yet to load any but has anyone given it a shot? How do you like it? I typically use H4350 in my 6.5 and 30-06 but finding that is easier said than done...
I have some in 6.5MB and it's great. I weighed it all and I can't remember the SD but it was the most uniform brass I've ever used. They seem like a great company too.
I own a Gladiator and get nothing close to 28 with the V6. I bought it because the engine should be relatively reliable (it's like a 10 year old engine), but who knows. It's been a great truck so far though! It tows and hauls just as well as any other mid-size and is great off-road. But it...
If I were to go for a full size truck I'd probably roll with a Titan. If you're going to check out a Japanese truck and don't want to swallow the price of a Toyota, I'd bet you can find a sweet deal on a 2020 Titan right now.
I've used both with similar performance. I have had some expected fragmentation when taking quartering to shots and hitting the front leg bones on whitetails. But that's expected with both of these bullets. Although the bullets fragmented, the heart was completely toast on the other side and the...
If you're going to get a revolver make sure you talk to Boris the Blade:
I personally went with a Glock 19 for my all-around handgun. It has functioned flawlessly and 9mm allows you to do a lot more practice shooting for a lot less money than a 45 LC or .410. If you're not into getting a...
I hate instant and bring with a pour-over and filter. If I'm not backpacking far I'll even throw in my Stanley insulated french press. My wife and I even have our own backpack-able coffee grinder. I realize that's the real snob way to do things, but I just can't abide any instant that I've tried...
For my own rifles I don't crimp. For my Dad and brothers who shoot far less? If there's a crimp ring I'll use it.
My reasoning is that since they are more typical "shoot a few times before deer season to check if it's on" kind of people, those loads could be banging around in a truck for...
Copenhagen is in Denmark. I'm sure you wouldn't have mixed it up if it was Green Bay ;)
All good posts above. Vikingsguy (even though he seems dumb with his choice of NFL teams) does a good job of putting together those links every time someone asks. If I were you I'd search through the forum...
Not the greatest picture of her but the best one I could find. 90s Winchester Model 70 Classic with a detachable box magazine. If you own one, don't lose the magazine. They're hard to find!
