Gillette WY to build nuclear power plants

Culture things aren't always very logical. If the newspaper printers had a bunch of country songs written about them, they'd have had a much better chance...

Gillette WY to build nuclear power plants

Coal is in the death spiral regardless of the nuclear reactor construction business. The state of Wyoming has to be looking beyond coal in order to plot a responsible path for its citizens in the future. I hope this goes really well, though it will not be up and running any time soon.

Gillette WY to build nuclear power plants

Cheyenne will be all computer farms within 10 years, maybe Gillette can provide the reactors to power them!

    The Devil's Lettuce

I had no idea that the smell would be strong from growing/living plants. I thought it was just the burning of the plant that gave off the strong odor.

    The Devil's Lettuce

In all of my days of internet, I don't think I've ever watched a person undermine their own position and discredit themselves so diligently. It's an excellent case study.

Seems like this process, while very bad for your neighbor, may solve your pot farm problem. The enemy of your enemy is your friend...

    The Devil's Lettuce

Your analysis is a bit shallow Cheech. It's a cartel engaged in money laundering, which secondarily damages legitimate/licensed agriculture businesses. This wouldn't be a simple case of economy of scale pushing out the little guy.

    The Devil's Lettuce

Interesting about the cartels. I'm wondering how much cartel influence we'll see in the next couple of decades in the US. Ideally, we would cut off their revenue but Americans sure like their drugs...

I'm concerned that you have suffered actual brain damage if you think the OP on Rokslide was "very angry". I am that OP and it was a discussion about the marketing/branding effects of the ad for Simms. It was NOT a discussion on marijuana, legality, comparison to alcohol, domestic violence...

SB 298 - Crossbow bill rears its ugly head

I'm willing to catch hell for the crossbow but I want it noted that the truck/testicles/jeans/flatbill post was merely in jest and far from the truth.

SB 298 - Crossbow bill rears its ugly head

I do not qualify under any of those circumstances, and my hat's off to those that do. I'm personally, fully physically capable at this point in life. I simply enjoy shooting and hunting with them (except carrying them in the mountains). Somewhat ironically, I shoot a vertical bow a lot, and...

SB 298 - Crossbow bill rears its ugly head

They just honestly suck to carry. They're awkward in all directions while a scoped rifle is just "long". Mine is a recurve crossbow though as I'm thinking the thinner compound type crossbows are probably less terrible to carry. A tripod is good if you're in a blind but carrying one, and...

SB 298 - Crossbow bill rears its ugly head

I drive a jacked up diesel with cast iron testicles hanging from the receiver hitch, ripped jeans and a flat bill hat to balance out the equation. So far so good...

SB 298 - Crossbow bill rears its ugly head

Modern crossbow arrows have a carbon shaft, plastic vanes (glued on with a Bitzenburger fletching jig), glue in brass inserts, expandable or fixed head broadheads, and a plastic knock of several varieties. About 450 grains total weight. Usually 18-20" carbon length. Other than the length...

SB 298 - Crossbow bill rears its ugly head

Shooting a crossbow in the field, off hand, is far more challenging than shooting off a bench rest. Many of the claims made about crossbows don't seem to take that into consideration. In field shooting conditions, I'm more accurate to a longer range with my vertical bows than my crossbow. The...
