Round In The Chamber
Chamber one at legal shooting light and empty chamber at end of legal shooting light. Unless I am walking into a baited site for bears or hogs. Why folks think it's fatally stupid to have an empty chamber in their EDC gun and some seem to think it's fatally stupid to walk around with a rifle... -

The classic magnums - will they see a renaissance?
ive got a T/C in 35 rem pistol 13" barrel that I'd sell if you are interested. Its been sitting in the safe for nearly a decade waiting on me to get around to the right project and I havent yet gotten there. Now we are opening our own shop and cash is more valuable than a safe-bound gun. -

Fall bear frustrations
Keep in mind that temperature has nearly nothing to directly do with when bears den up - its food availability or the lack there of. Anyone own or shot the Taurus Judge?
My hunting partner has one. Inside about 5 feet its is accurate enough with birdshot to kill snakes. Any further than that and the Doughnut of Death shows up. As for shooting 45 LC out of it... Lets just say that it is MAYBE accurate enough to commit self-deletion with if you use all 5 rounds... -

Fierce or Christensen Arms?
I have a very early version of the CA MPR that started out in 300 PRC. Two barrels of 300 PRC later I went with a 6.5 PRC for the 3rd barrel. It shot in the 0.3-0.45" for 3 shots at 100y with both 300 PRC barrels. Haven't shot the 6.5 barrel yet enough to find a load for it. My two elk hunting... -
