Ha no I wouldn't, I see quota units shut down year after year EARLY! Idiots. All those little "youtube bears", you know the ones, "color phase" bear up on a stack of rocks, or log, head looks like a 9 month old lab puppy, camera 2 inches away or the "youtuber" 10 feet behind the bear.
Note to...
Same guys who shoot sows I bet!
I wish states with quota systems would enact a "shoot a sow, you're out next year" type deal. It sucks when the quota is filled before you even get to June when It is starting to get good.
I have been out of the box for RBH for a few years now, tried for Desert, but feel I wasted time, I would have been back in the draw this year. Just went back into he RBH draw to get a point. All this talk about draw changes has me a bit worried it may be for not if there are some changes on...
Any discussion around the draw currently in place for sheep? Any changes that seems to be coming or discussed that would drastically change how it works now?
After speaking and listening to Dan this weekend, there is a light at the end of the tunnel on this, we just need to get there. He was very positive and has a lot of momentum at this moment. I’m going to steal a phrase from Cam Hanes, “We need to keep hammering.”
The population is doing well in CO, hence the "up in air on KS" for me. If anything, I'd drive over and have a look, scout some deer spots for this fall and decide. The birds always roost in the same trees and I can get a good feel for what's there.
I put in last minute just in case I feel like driving over. Hope to arrow on in CO this year, then jump over. Bird levels in the area I hunt in KS have really dropped off. A roost tree that used to harbor a 100 or more birds a couple years back had maybe 10. Tough times for sure.
