Like most, I would definitely do Western Canada, Argentina, or New Zealand. They’re all similar to the Western U.S. lol. Glad I don’t have to make that choice though.
What a hell of a hunt and story. I had no idea it was even possible to do all three animals in one trip. This is definitely on my bucket list now. Thank you for sharing with us!
I hear ya. My little girl is in Pre-K and probably not going back this year either. She's taken it pretty well but you can definitely tell she misses going to school and playing with kids her own age. It's hard on little kids being cooped up. Definitely gotta get em outside as much as possible.
GrowingDeerTV has a great video on YouTube about string jumping by the way. Apparently deer with their head down can jump the string easier than deer with their head up. The neck acts as a lever to help drop their shoulders quickly. I’m assuming it would be similar for pronghorns.
That’s hilarious. I don’t think my wife would go for that, but I could definitely see it being in a bar or someone’s man cave somewhere. Really though, some of the best memories I have from hunting as a kid is sitting around my dad’s truck talking about the deer that was killed while dad and his...
Good job getting the kid on his first deer anyway. Sounds like you were able to take what could’ve been a bad experience and turn it into a great one.
There’s definitely pricks from every state, including here in TN. Hopefully I’ll be one of the Montana transplants from Tennessee in about 6...
Yeah I was just picking on em. Easy target lol. I've met some great people from there but also plenty with California attitudes. There's plenty of buttholes from everywhere unfortunately. Just more of em from California 😉 Back on topic, that was definitely a dick move by Tennessee guy. Some...
Awesome job! I think it's so cool that y'all are doing this as a family. Thanks so much for letting us follow along. Me, the wife, and our 2 kids are planning a move out to WY or MT next summer. We won't have any family close by so our outdoor adventures will probably be really similar to yours...
Ariat Sierra Saddle boots are what I wear. They're comfortable and tough. I wear out the uppers before the soles show any wear and I probably could take better care of the uppers than I do.
Hey John. I grew up in Franklin outside of Nashville. I'm planning on going to Montana or Wyoming next year. If I was staying though, I'd be focusing on the Winchester/Manchester area. Close enough to Nashville for all the stuff you need it for and really close to great fishing and hunting, land...
I think you made a great choice. That's an awesome round and a sweet gun. I'm thinking of getting one in 7mm-08 or 6.5 CM. Been debating between a Savage Lightweight Hunter and the Kimber Hunter. When I handled them side by side, I was sold on the Kimber. And I'm a Savage fan too. Just hope the...
I've been wanting one of these in 6.5 Creedmoor since they came out. I have a 116 FCSS in 300 win mag that's been a great rifle, but it's been a little cumbersome in the deer woods of TN. I'm thinking a light, compact rifle like this would be just the ticket. For the features vs price point of...
