Reading the above posts reminds me of the confliction I feel for wild hogs. Their terrible for the environment, but what a great source of hunting opportunity. Plus, the 10 adult hogs I've killed this year means an extra 150 pounds of sausage, plenty of pork chops and tenderloins, pork ribs...
I figured I'd post the direct link to the Full Draw Film Tour site for the Austin, TX event. It would be great to get a bunch of TX members there to meet in person. And maybe get some new folks to join BHA as well.
Here's the link...
I also wanted to mention that we are looking hard for a venue to hold a Full Draw Film Tour event in the Dallas/Fort Worth area sometime this fall. It has not been easy on a very limited starting budget to secure a location. If anyone has any contacts at a local brewery, Indi Theater, country...

Welcome to the site fellow Texans. I just want to add that there are actually a few Texans who kept the 'Hunt' in 'Hunting'. I don't use a feeder, I'm archery only for deer, and I won't pay money for access out of principle. With that said, I do have private access for deer and hogs but pay...
VAspeedgoat, if you've driven to Baxter SP, you've passed by the house I grew up in in Millinocket. It is a great place for the outdoors. Thanks for the welcome.
I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm new to the forum but not new to hunting. And although I've been in TX a decade, I still consider myself a Mainer. I live for hunting and consider myself an ardent conservationist, and a wildlife biologist. I really felt like the 'Lone voice in the...
