Interesting article, bit of a read but worth the time. That viewpoint and whether other states will adopt similar stances will bear watching in the future, especially when it comes to my home state of Colorado.
Better than last year. I was hunting a different unit and didn't see a deer all season. Saw a bunch of does but only three bucks where I was this year. I was thinking it would be nice to have a 4th rifle tag in that unit. Best of luck to you.
Was up there in the sage, north of Craig, chasing deer during the latter half of second rifle. We tried putting up the wall tent while under a wind advisory, all I have to show for that are some bent poles. The forecast for that night was a quarter inch of rain followed by an inch of snow. Woke...
Should have asked more questions on here before I took my first trip up there two weeks ago. Couldn't catch a walleye the entire time I was up there but congrats on the limit
First time I've gotten a tag I wanted on leftover day. Will be looking for a couple more before the seasons start. But also had to answer the ethnicity question, definitely wasn't expecting that
I like how the date on the deer draw, at least on my application, was May 18th. Don't know why the additional 2 week wait was necessary. Still waiting on Pronghorn and Elk
Think last year was the first year they did the secondary draw with that particular structure. They give preference to the youth in that draw and while you might have a shot with tags that have a number of tags offered, it was my experience last year that the majority of them went to youth...
The bigger, the better, right? I'm not looking for a specific size of buck. That day might come after I have a few more mature bucks under my belt but that's not where I'm at yet. Appreciate all the thoughts. The weather had always been on my radar especially after this past year. Migration less...
I wish I could pose this question in a poll but its not as straightforward as I want it to be.
Essentially what's going on is that I've been using leftover deer tags to hunt Colorado for the past half decade. Doing so allows you to build up some points while still getting out in the field...
The plan is for a September trip so you might be waiting awhile for my story. And thankfully I'll have friends with me who care more about taking pictures than I do so there might be some memories to share
Appreciate all the replies. I'm leaning more toward a charter depending on how many guys we can get to defray the costs. Course even if we were to get more guys, I think a charter cost would limit our trip to non overnight ventures as the costs I'm seeing for chartered overnight boats are a...
