My cousin drew one of the 14 archery bull tags last year and I went along for the adventure. That was one of the best weeks I’ve ever had in the woods. If you know someone who draws one of those tags and you can go along I would highly recommend it.
Thanks! Believe it or not he was a few down on my wish list. I have been after this guy for a couple years now. A couple other good ones were around earlier in the fall and then disappeared on me. Good luck to all you flintlock hunters. It’s been an uphill battle to keep powder dry in my...
Public and coal property in my neck of the woods had some orange through the whole season. I shot the buck that busted me by leaving my stand 5 minutes too early during archery. Adequate shots heard all season but I didn’t see anything brought back to the truck, haha!
Eberlestock Just one in western slope with the Super Spike duffel. Extra hip pocket included. Same one in my avatar and has packed a few animals but no stains or rips that I can see. $225 shipped
Tenzing 2220 used some but no tears or stains either. Includes pop out rain cover. $75 shipped
I hunted that area in 2016 and 2017 and I would echo what bullbugle307 said. Let me put it this way...I drew the Nimmo access in 2017 and I never had to head down there because I found all that I needed further north. Get out of the truck and look for white dots where other people aren't...
So how do we know if everything remained as recommended or if there were any changes? I have a third season tag I should draw but I might have a whole lot more company if those recommendations stayed the same.
Another Wyoming trip in the books. Started out the trip by discovering the day before leaving that I had lost my drivers license. Nice. Drove the hour to the DMV and got a replacement 1/2 hr before they closed. So far so good. Other than that little hiccup it was a wonderful 22 hr drive...
I'll send you a pm at some point. I'll be hunting that same unit for the second year in a row. We are headed out to Wheatland next week and should be headed back east on the 6th so I should be able to give you a pretty up to date outlook...haha. You will have a blast!
Good to know Nadonc. We'll be headed out from PA on the 27th. I'll probably doing a big ride around most of the unit and hit the ranch as well. Do any of you guys deer hunt Region T/area 15? The biologist said there are plenty of 2 yr olds running around and we have deer tags too but we will...
Thanks again for the info! And have fun with the little guy! I have 3 daughters and they are all starting to run around in the woods with me now. It's an awesome feeling when you see them hit a target or bust a clay for the first time, I can only imagine what I'll do when they connect on...
JLDemo that road looks awful familiar...if it's the one I'm thinking of I might have shot my buck and doe antelope within a mile or two from there last year...haha!
Hey JTM, thanks for the intel! Does that ranch get hit pretty hard for archery? I know the slips were unlimited for archery and rabbit hunters but I wondered how that compared to rifle. Thanks again!
