I have 0 points and I'm a NR. I've been putting in for Elk, Mule Deer, sheep, and mountain goat for years and haven't been putting in for Antelope. Don't ask me why....I'm kicking myself in the butt for not doing it, but I guess it's better late than never. -

About 5 years ago, Big Fin posted that he'd give anything to get drawn in either one of these units.....was just curious if that still stands. I'm putting in this year and just want to put in for the best units. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! -

That's what I figured. But I can't find any info on the road inside of Onxmaps. I can see if its a county or state, but when it becomes a dashed line, it doesn't say what type of road or what vehicles can drive on it. -

I'm researching this right now online with the CO wildlife division, but I thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone on here knew for sure....may be a dumb question, I don't know! I'm hunting in unit 42 and want to access a particular part of BLM. The roads I'm looking at on OnxMaps go... -

You can rent a sat phone for about $95 a week....that's shipped to and from your house and includes 10 minutes of airtime, but you can go over if needed in an emergency. -

Which headlamp?
I have tried several headlamps in the past and haven't been impressed. I'm looking for one that sends some light down range and maybe has a few different settings, and doesn't have a rechargeable battery. Which ones have you guys used and been satisfied with?- mattfly77

1st solo backcountry hunt!
Great idea, I've never done a long term hunt solo so I don't know about the mental challenges of it. I whitetail hunt by myself exclusively but that's just for 1 day at a time. I'm nervous for sure, but excited about the challenge of something completely new!- mattfly77
