    Hunting Packs

    Apparently it's a great time to be pack shopping. I pulled the trigger on the metcalf they had on camofire. Then I saw the Kuiu sale today and I am contemplating going that route instead, I could have 1 frame and 3 packs for it for not much more money than the nice frame and metcalf.

    Sell me a fly rod!

    Nice to see so many rod builders. If you start prepare to spend a lot of time doing a lot of rods. I had a lot of fun and wrapped quite a few rods. Started with a homemade manual set up and now I'm using a nice power wrapper. After my daughter was born a lot of things went on the back burner...

    Utah

    According to gohunt you have a 0.1% chance. You can double your odds if you do muzzleloader and now in Utah you can have a magnified scope so there really is no reason not to. Explain to your better half you had to buy another rifle because you doubled your draw odds.

    Like I mentioned I can't argue the amount of money being alarming. I don't know all of caprocks ventures, only what my experience has been and being based in Southern California and having only seen them do private sector commercial buildings in just having trouble coming up with the connection.

    Once Again, the GOP Comes Out as Anti-Hunting

    At least we have Randy Newberg and Steven Rinella. In the last podcast with Leopold it was clear that they are conservationists, it would be nice if they also came out as public land advocates.

    AZ Hunting?

    I believe Arizona is something like 50+% public land so I highly doubt that will be an issue. Not sure how things work on Indian Reservations but I believe there is a fair amount of land in AZ that is reservation land so you may want to look into that.
