I carried a 4 inch red hawk 44 for years but it was a heavy piece. Ended up carrying a SP101 in 357 with hard casts for a nearly a decade. I’d go with the lightest one available that can handle the ammo you like

If I wasn’t trying to get a az hunt with my dad I would be trying to get one of the rut archery hunts. Plenty of “good” lower point hunts in other states to do in the interim years.
