Does Montana OTC Bear Tag Come With Fishing?

I did a search on here and didn’t come up with anything. As the title states, does it come with fishing? Also, is upland bird/small game included? I tried to find the info through MT’s website as well, but I didn’t see anything related to it. Thanks for the help!

First Elk hunt and it was a success! (Long post)

Unfortunately no. With all of us together we saw 22 elk. One guy shot and missed, but he tripped on some rocks the day prior that tore up his knees, pride and the fiber optic on his front sight, so I give him a pass on that clean miss.

Snow line on the little belt mountains this spring?

Thinking about taking a trip to the little belt mountains with some friends to hike and camp in late April/early may. We are all meeting up from different states and this is centrally located somewhat for us. What can I expect for snow on the ground from 5.5k-6.5k elevation. I know snow storms...

First Elk hunt and it was a success! (Long post)

Thanks! I can still smell that stink! We had some tenderloins the same night and I couldn’t even eat more than one slice. All I could smell and taste was elk wallow!

First Elk hunt and it was a success! (Long post)

I’m a bit late on putting this up here as this hunt happened during Colorado’s muzzleloader season. I’ll start out by saying I research A LOT. I don’t watch much tv, instead I review maps, draw odds, prospective hunts and anything else that will help me be successful. This is by no means my...

Spring Montana black bear hunt questions.

I love bear hunting and have done a few dedicated bear hunts in different states. I’ve steered clear of areas that could hold griz. Mainly because I don’t want the precautions of avoiding bad encounters with griz to interfere with my hunt. With that said I’ve hunted deer and grouse in the big...

    Colorado Wildfires and hunting

Thanks for the link! It looks like I can still get there, but like you said there isnt much good news in the weather forecast. I hope everyone out there stays safe and I hope their homes and property can be saved. The more I look into this the less I care about my hunt and the more I pray for...

    Colorado Wildfires and hunting

Well, I can really pick the date and place to hunt. I manage to select a location every year where weather or the elements are way out of control. However, my problem is minuscule compared to what the residents of Colorado are dealing with. I am still going to ask the question though... The two...

Physically disabled son and hunting options

I had a great teacher in my dad and I can’t imagine where I would be without the outdoor hobbies and knowledge I got from what he taught me. I don’t just want to teach my son, he needs to know for the million reasons, even if it is difficult.

Physically disabled son and hunting options

My nephew is autistic and I know that the problems they encounter are different, but very much the same. I want him to challenge himself, but at the same time not hate it or regret it. I am looking for that fine line called accomplishment lol!

Physically disabled son and hunting options

I did my first antelope hunt a few years ago and it was a blast and I think he would be able to handle that easily. Thank you for the reminder.

Physically disabled son and hunting options

We live in MN. Hunting here isnt a huge issue other than thick grass and deep snow, but I know enough about my area on how we can best tackle this. I should have mentioned I am specifically looking out west.

Physically disabled son and hunting options

Hello again everyone! As I wrap up the planning on my hunts this year my thought continually wander to how I am going to plan for my son's future hunts. He is 7 years old and has distal arthrogryposis (I may have spelled that incorrectly) Basically the cartilage in his feet and ankles is like...
