I had dismal results with SST's used on antelope. They're pretty explosive IMO. I went to Barnes TTSX bullets and never looked back.- shootbrownelk

A .243 with THE CORRECT bullets will kill any deer and will work for elk as well. Assuming correct shot placement.- shootbrownelk
