A Sierra Game king 55gr BTHP in front of 37.5-38.0gr of H380 is what I've always used in the 22-250. They generally expand on impact and leave a baseball sized wound channel under the skin with no exit. I use the same bullet over Win748 in the 223, can't remember the powder weight though.
A rimfire scope needs an adjustable parallax or the parallax needs to be set by the manufacturer for closer range. You're probably going to want a side focus or adjustable objective scope for a rimfire.
I don't get the Swarovski love. They are top of the line optics, however there are other optics companies that are on par with Swaro for less money. I used to work for a store that carried Swarovski products and they were all overpriced for what they were.
First it was legal gambling that was going to fix all of Illinois' problems.
Next election they'll tell you that pot sales aren't cutting it and it's time to legalize prostitution. That'll surely solve all of the state's woes. Just think of the children...and public safety...
Cabelas breathable waders, size 10. Felt sole boots. I have the original patch kit that came with them. I used them on an Alaska bear hunt 20 years ago and haven't used them since. Damaged spot on front shown in picture. $100 shipped.
Use the live trap with a tarp or plastic over it. Once the skunk is inside run a hose or pipe under the tarp and attach it to your exhaust. Run your vehicle for five minutes and it's done. Go bury the dead, not-stinky skunk.
Kinda look like calcite. Here's an easy experiment that will help find out:
Draw a line on a piece of paper and set one of the clearer samples over it. If it looks like 2 lines when viewed through the stone it is strongly bi-refringent indicating that it is probably calcite.
Used to have a pear tree right outside the back door at our old farm. They'd light off right outside the window in the middle of the night and you could hear them munching on the pears.
If you already have the ATV and don't want to beat up your truck on FS roads then bring it. I have a love/hate relationship with ATV's. They get around on trails well but they just don't last like a road worthy vehicle will. I bought an SUV that I don't mind beating up a little for hunting...
When I was a kid (late 1970's through the 80's) I caught a few 16-17" whites. Those were the days...no limits and didn't keep fish under 10" (Ok, we kept some fat 9"er's). Lake Odessa, Iowa.
It isn't the age on those screwdrivers, it's the mileage. I can tell you that 2 of those screwdrivers were from the first set of drivers I bought when I moved out on my own and were purchased at Kmart in the very early 1990's.
Been working on the motor when I get a little time and a few parts.
This is the motor that will go on the back. It's a 1968 Mercury 3.9hp.
Topless pic.
I got this motor on another boat years ago. The boat was too small for my needs so I sold it and the trailer for what I had in it and...
