Anyone who hasn't read 'The Unsung Value of BLM Lands' needs to look that one up as well. Hal Herring knows how to write a good article. It was originally printed in a Field and Stream a couple years back.
Worth a google search, but I'll try to find the link.
I was explained by a RMEF board member, that the reason for the support of SB 245 was for added opportunity... (Extending the season I guess?)
On another note: I completely agree with Rob G. I consider myself an advocate for equality in wildlife management, and SB 245 is a bad deal for your...
I am still skeptical here. My hunt for Ibex would actually happen in 2016. I have no refund on my card, and no mandatory harvest to file for, but it only goes to 2015. I don't know what I want more, my $1600 or an ibex permit...
I promise this will be the last time I post this (As it is the last day to give the BLM your comment on the New Bullwhacker Road EA)
The sportsmen of Central Montana are encouraging the BLM to build a new route on the East side of the existing Bullwhacker Road which is currently locked by the...
Remember - Every American collectively owns the BLM lands in the Bullwhacker. It would be nice to know that comments were coming in from all over the USA. - Build the new road on the East side!
Comments are due Thursday! Don't forget to send yours in!
[email protected]
FYI: The last day to comment on the Bullwhacker road EA is this Thursday, 3/5/15.

The BLM Missouri Breaks Monument Manager, Mike Kania, has started an Environmental Analysis (EA) process to decide whether BLM...
If I were a roadhunter, I would only use a phone too. Especially with that quick access to the USB charger, and a hands free device so you could listen to turn by turn directions with a gun out the window.
Well if velvet is what you are after, by all means look elsewhere, but big mountain mule deer are definitely attainable in MT. I have hunted the Bridgers a fair amount, and not seen much for size either. Good luck in your endeavor.
Unless you are going for a buck in velvet, why not hunt for a MT mule deer the first couple weeks of September? It is my opinion that high country mule deer in MT are rarely sought after, and opportunity exists in a number of mountain ranges.
Nrpate05 - I ordered it yesterday. I have an Etrex Vista that I love, but it is old and starting to throw errors. The positive: It has 36 hours of battery life and a color screen. The negative: The direction settings stopped working and in unfamiliar areas, I didn't know how to stay on...
Thank you OnX Maps! I was in the process of doing my own research when this thread appeared. I went ahead and bought the Garmin GPSMap 64S. Thank you for making this easy!
