As an avid cyclist and mountain biker I kind of smirk at those olive drab bikes with no name components that will be trash in a few years. Walmart bikes with an electric motor.
I’m currently establishing xeric natives on my property. As soon as I’ve got what I want I’m going to put down rejuvra. That stuff works very well. It will prevent establishment of any native grasses so that’s why I’m waiting. It’s a long term plan.
Your friend could head north towards the Yampa river if he wants to catch catfish and perhaps some huge Pike. It's sort of close to 31 if a few hours drive time round trip isn't a problem. Probably not why your friend is coming for though. Park headquarters and the dinosaur display are in Utah.
Nope, there isn't even much water of any kind south of Strangely. You'd have to head east up the White River, probably past Meeker and most of that is private.
July 31, 1976. Big Thompson Canyon, Colorado, 144 people perished. My Parents were out of town so my buddies and I were drinking beer on the back porch cheering on the most intense rain and lightning storm any of us had ever seen. We had no idea that 144 people were being killed a few miles...
A difficult plant to establish that is well worth it is Cliffrose, very fragrant and native pollinators love it. If you are ever driving through Palisade I'd advise stopping at Chelsea Nursery. They only have natives.
