First Time Elk Hunt
I am going on my first elk hunt in Idaho. I have a rifle tag for Dworshak B unit for 10a. The trip happened really quickly. I am a little nervous about what to bring, expect, etc. I don't have time to get to Idaho to scout for the hunt. I do have some topo maps but don't really now how to read...- kyleouradnik

I talked to an employee at Cabela's today about buying a pack and frame combination. His advice to me was to just buy a frame and to strap the backpack I already own to the frame.
