    I think I’m done with big game hunting

    I’m 63 and my desire to kill stuff has waned significantly. I still like getting out. Especially with my sons but haven’t shot any big game for a number of years.

    This is not plated. Didn’t get pictures of that but I did an elk backstrap fake sous vide (pot of water on stove) then seared. It was really good. Maybe a little over on temp.

    New year's eve dinner.

    Seafood in the middle of nowhere MT is hit and miss but this was a good New Years Day dinner. Last night was homemade pizza.

    Might be the same numbers. We have a farm/ranch in north central MT. Literally now have zero deer. Used to be all over the place.

    Vikings coach KOC had a quote that said something like “organizations fail young qbs far more than young qbs fail organizations” or something like that. I believe this to be true. All the best prospects go to the crappiest organizations.
