Picatinny rail or reg bases for mark v and vx6 scope?
I got a weatherby mark v 257 mag and I want to mount my leupold vx6 3-18×44 to it. This being my first scope mount I'm not sure to go with a picatinny rail or regular mounts and weaver style rings? Any suggestions on which way to go? Thanks -

2025-26 Season plans?
Trying for a less than 10% chance at a wy general elk and about 30% chance at a wy antelope tag. If neither of them, I'll either fish for trout in the rockies somewhere or head to Florida to vacation and fish.- johnnybow

Suggestions on a hunt or fishing trip
I have a week of vacation the last week of September. I have a decent chance of drawing wyoming antelope but I'd like to have some options of other animals or states to hunt or fish if I don't draw. I prefer diy. Any suggestions ? Im open to about anything Thanks- johnnybow

Area 111 and 26 wy public land
I'm just researching for possibly entering wy antelope draw with 1 point and considering area 111 as well as 26. I've previously hunted in area 25 so I have an idea of the limits of public lands these low point area holds and willing to hunt them anyhow. Anybody have any experience or thoughts... -

Taking my pointer to wy pinedale region
I'm heading out to just to the pinedale region for a general elk rifle hunt of the 15th. Which caliber?
I'm about ready to buy a browning xbolt speed but can't decide what caliber. Which one you choosing and why? I'm leaning towards the 6.8 western for antelope, deer and elk.
