    Communication in Business

Communication is not what it used to be. Most people today won't pick up a phone or even answer an email or text, even after the communication line has been opened. It is very frustrating that busy people such as yourself have to babysit others if something needs to be done. You certainly did...

Have Any of You Observed a Wildlife Law Violation ? What Did you Do ?

Witnessed and reported lots of friggin poachers. Bald eagles, swans, snow geese out of season all shot, off duty cop shooting from the road and trespassing, fishing overlimits, a meth lab at a fishing site, spotlighting, hunting in a closed area, etc. Just a small snippet of what I ran across as...

Opinions on places to move out west?

Born and raised in Boise and here currently. Have lived all over Idaho. I for one would never live in Rexburg unless I was LDS. Idaho Falls is close enough to Rexburg and is a bit better but we left partly because my 1st and 3rd grader at the time were already being uninvited from birthday...

    Bigfoot

It was dusk but not dark travelling along the interstate near Donner Pass. We were travelling East bound and movement was caught on the far side of the west bound lanes. This thing sprinted across the west bound lanes and in stride went over the jersey barriers dividing the lanes then in another...

Idaho $1mil elk damage paid to farmer.

Here is what Idaho requires to file a claim: access to or through the property by hunters unless it impedes business operations. That sure should be beefed up. q  Claimant notifies IDFG within 72 hours of discovering crop damage caused by deer, elk, pronghorn or moose. q  Claimant notifies...

    Bigfoot

Like the song... I am a believer... and a witness. Happened in the Sierras. No human nor bear can be that tall and hairy with running capabilities my father and I witnessed. They are out there.

    Tracker ATV

Not surprising. We purchased the cheap model that didn't have FI at the time. Seems everyone now has gone to FI on every model?

    Tracker ATV

I used to work for the Ag dept. here in Idaho. Needed 4 additional new ATV's in a pinch so we went with Polaris since the price was so low we didn't have to bid. Biggest mistake ever. Our Honda's dealt with ag fields without a hiccup. Polaris's were in the shop with bad brakes, carb problems...

    hello from Boise

Howdy from another Boisean. Good place to start hunting is really anywhere in Idaho. Not a bad spot in my opinion and I have lived all over this state but have returned to my birthplace in the treasure valley. There is a gun range out towards the prison but quite a few people just shoot on...

    Northern Idaho Whitetail 8A

I was actually wrong it is Bennett Lumber property and in unit 8 off of the highway from Moscow to Deary. Don't know if they allow hunting any longer but their land was always great for finding deer. Thanksgiving week was always great with rutting activity.

    Making friends after a move

With you coming from "back east" you should be welcomed with open arms unless you buy land that closes what once was public access and flaunt your money in front of everyone. We have a few friends from back east and the midwest and they are great folks. My wife and I needed some new friends...

    Trails in Idaho

Check out the motorized vehicle use maps for the forest you are looking at hunting. These maps will tell you if the jeep trails are currently open-avoid the open roads as you probably know- some are in excellent shape some are very very rough. We have a huge mix of roads that remain open all...

Grizzly - How close is too close ?

If you are lucky enough to see a bear don't freak out and get nervous. I am a firm believer in bears picking up what a person is feeling... anxiety, fear etc... Stay calm and slowly move away. I have been mere feet away from black bears and one grizz; all didn't give a rats behind about me. Now...

    How young is too young?

my two girls started when they came out of the womb. I had packed them around in car seats and backpacks while hunting. Sure they were easy hunts close to the truck or sitting in a blind in a field; but we didn't have the luxury of a baby sitter and my wife hunts as well. They both still enjoy...
