Since you are using a taxi they should know what to do.
But my reply is more of what i did on my own to preserve my boys. He shot a 4x4 that was just starting to lose the velvet, tips were starting to come off but everything else pretty much still on. We used Denatured Alcohol and poured it...
Have plans on hunting around Couer d'alene, but want to look at something a little closer to cut my costs some.
Trying to find out about the Grangeville area, access, hunting pressure, and of course odds of getting a decent buck, or any buck for that matter.
My main concern is my dad is getting...
Big enough that i would be keeping an eye on him! He doesn't curl much at the top and the cutters look a little short, but that is a nice nice buck right there!! I would have to agree and say close to 90" He has alot of mass and that makes for alot of points!
Thanks Randy for being one of the few that will film and show it how it happens. Too many shows are all about perfect production as opposed to reality!
Yours is a breath of fresh air and Pat and I never miss it!
Since you guys are talking healthy, im curious as to what would be a good for "replenshinig" while hiking and hunting. I have always looked for the high protein bars etc etc, the Gatorade protein chew tabs that have come out lately in the little 6 packs etc etc. Not really looking for food...
Just about the only place i have been able to find any bullets, brass, ammo, etc is Gunbroker.com. Cababelas isn't even listing any ammo on thier website any more.
Good luck and look around at the auction houses for ammo
I just bought a Howa 1500 ranch hand(something like that), 22" barrel, rubber stock, came with a scope. That thing will flat shoot!! Short easy to handle, light, very very little recoil. I would buy another in a second! $499 at Cabelas just the other day.
My son just bought a Savage 10 Predator...
Just ordered and received a Savage .243 from Woodburys.com, they had lots of stock when i ordered but were selling a buttload of guns every day, might try them. Shipped to my local FFL dealer, no problems, had it it about 10 days.
Last year i found 2 that had got locked together, both had died and the only thing left was a face and backbone on one and hide and backbone on the other. One was a huge 3x4 the other a nice 7x4. Awesome find but too bad they died like that.
I would think it probably had already seen you. And sometimes they just do that anyway. This years juvis? I didnt think they had hatched yet, thought they were just pairing up now.
Quarter him right there, skin one side, take off the quarters, backstraps, flip him over do it again and your on your way. Also have to agree get him on ice asap!! For sure that is the biggest mistake people make, you should strive to have him on ice in an hour or less.
I think Antelope is one...
Have to agree with Vortex, very good especially for the money. I got one last year and love it. I dont know if most people will use it enough to appreciate the difference with the ED or HD lenses. I have never looked thru one with it so i couldnt give my opinion on that.
But if you buy a Vortex...
hey jryoung...get her convinced and i have a bow i will sell you. Good bow, boy just upgraded is all. PSE ready to shoot even comes with a few arrows. Somewhere around $200
