Colo OTC seasons
If you are not going archery, I have found the second season most productive for OTC. If you can get access to private land, then I would hunt third season. The weather gods will determine your success.- planehunter

Well see, here's the problem. Wallup lake is not on the east side of the state according to my map, so I'm guessing there might not be a lot of Mule deer. And the DOW interactive map is not the best IMO, so that isn't much help. And the pissy attitude is really disapointing from fellow hunters...- planehunter

Spotter or Binocs
I hunted many years in CO for deer and elk (taken several of both) and never needed a spotting scope. A very good pair of binocs was all I ever needed. If you are strictly trophy hunting on leased land or with an outfitter, then a spotting scope would be handy.- planehunter

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yes, I am currently getting back into rifle hunting, but I use to do alot of bow hunting in CO also. IMO there are no bad ways to hunt if it gets you into the woods. I am leaning towards the east side to hunt because I prefer more open areas, and a little dryer...- planehunter
