    Aoudad hunt '09

    That's pretty sweet. I hunted mule deer on a ranch near Roswell a couple years ago that had a lot of aoudad as well. I've been dying to hunt them since then.

    free hog hunts?

    There's lots of farmers in Oklahoma begging for people to come shoot the hogs on their land. But they want $300 per shooter and you can only kill one. I think that's the way it is in most states.

    OK well I kill them with a .22-250 then. I don't consider sitting there covered head to toe in camo waiting for the game to come to you "hunting".

    I only turkey hunt in the fall, so I use a .22-250. My farthest kill so far was 320 yards.

    Conman's Guide Service. http://conmans.homestead.com/ They do offer swan only hunts in December and, I think, January. I was just lucky and got one early. Its the earliest in the season anyone hunting with him has ever got one. I do plan on going back in a couple years with some friends.

    South Dakota pheasants

    It was a guided hunt. None of us have much experience hunting birds, so I found a place that wasn't too expensive. I figure you can't go to South Dakota and not go pheasant hunting.

    I think I got a little ahead of myself. Its at the taxidermist right now, and I have no idea where I'm gonna put it. I offered to do it that way, figured I could save them the trouble of calling. But they gave me some excuse about that being "illegal".

    My last hunt for 2008 was to Fort Pierre, South Dakota with my dad and uncle. My dad was going up there for buffalo, and I talked him into doing a pheasant hunt as well so I could have a reason to tag along. I never re-sized the pics, so I posted them as thumbnails.
