I had a Vietnamese lady on the boat for a couple days several years back. Someone caught a pikeminnow and she wanted it. Said it reminded her of a fish from back home. Cooked it up that night. The next day on the boat she said it tasted bad. I agree with you, the meat does look good when filleted.

The spawn is winding down but there's still some good fishing, Average size is up this year. My first day on the water since mid-April. I think I missed the best of it but I was having fun with holdover trout. Hope to get Pagosa out there soon when our schedules and the wind allow.
