I'm a spry 72. Seriously I would be doing pretty good except for a hip injury from 27 years ago. I have to stay in pretty mild terrain and can't go for very long. Ironically I hurt myself while helping a friend's grandson retrieve an elk.
Nothing wrong with freezer fish but it's nice to get to cook up a fresh batch. The cold front passed, the wind died down and I found some early crappie. Great to be back on the water.

Ankle tight hip boots most of the time. It was a pleasure to wear anything else when possible. There were different shades of green vegetation. You quickly learned which ones to detour around

Nick, if you ever come out this way I'd be glad to take you and your family out.
Preston, that little cataraft will give you some real good options. I know just where to show you for bass and crappie as well as some trout reservoirs.
I'm 40 miles east of Baker City just a few miles from the launch ramp on the Powder River Arm of Brownlee. I can take you out on the reservoir and also show you shore fishing areas. I usually start fishing for smallmouth and crappie in April but have caught them in March also. A little early for...
