    Best Outdoor Partner

You might want to believe him. The older I get the more I prefer my wife's company. The marriage just keeps getting better and better.

    Best Outdoor Partner

As I've become a lot older I find the things I truly value change with time. I've come to realize just how valuable a good outdoor partner is. I've been blessed to be able to hunt and fish with some exceptional people. Including with some of the regulars from this site. However, these days I...

    A Net Full

I would love to tell you that it was on purpose not showing the back half, but the truth is that it is very hard to photograph fish when you are solo. It's just the best I could do as it was too big to try and hold completely up with one hand and take a pic with the other. :)

    A Fish On Fire!!!

Well sort'a. If a fish could look like it's on fire this comes pretty darn close. I love it when these tiger trout start coloring up in the fall!

    Getting Away From The Roads...

Those are pretty cool and definitely lightweight. However I would be stressed over getting a hook stuck in it or having some type of submerged timber or rock gouging a hole in it.

    Getting Away From The Roads...

Just like hunting, fishing seems to improve the further you can get from any roads. There are no roads to this particular lake and it's stocked by dropping the fish from air planes. I like places like this and hope I can continue to reach them for more years to come before my body gives out and...

Man, that is a big cutthroat!!!

"A float tube..." is one of the funniest answers I've heard in a long time. Thanks I needed that laugh.

Man, that is a big cutthroat!!!

There are a lot of different cutthroat species. The largest are the Lahontan cutthroat that come out of Pyramid Lake in Nevada. However those things are freakishly big and most cutthroat don't look anything like that. Here in Utah where I'm fishing it's mostly Bear Lake strain or Bonneville...

    One Fish Wonder

Yes for sure. This one was caught on a 1/8 oz marabou jig. I do use other lures and fly fish as well. It just depends on what I think the fish will hit.

    One Fish Wonder

After work I went fishing for 3.5 hours. I caught this nice rainbow on the first cast and then nothing. I guess if you are only going to catch one fish, this is the one to catch. :)
