    One Fish Wonder

Yes for sure. This one was caught on a 1/8 oz marabou jig. I do use other lures and fly fish as well. It just depends on what I think the fish will hit.

I never slowed down on the fishing, just on the posting. Thank you for appreciating the pics when I do post.

    One Fish Wonder

After work I went fishing for 3.5 hours. I caught this nice rainbow on the first cast and then nothing. I guess if you are only going to catch one fish, this is the one to catch. :)

    A Little Something/Something New...

It has been a very long time since I drew a really tight black and white drawing. I mostly work in color these days, but decided I needed to see if I could still work in graphite effectively. I'm relatively happy with how this old warrior of a brown trout turned out. I thought maybe some of you...

    Um Dat's Purty Big!

Definitely reminds me of sea run sockeye salmon size.

    Um Dat's Purty Big!

Kokanee generally don't get this big. So I am not mad about catching this one at all! No I didn't catch it in the stream behind me. I caught it in the lake right in front of me where the stream feeds into the lake. Beautiful place!

26 year wait - Utah elk hunt

First off, congratulations on a great bull Kurt! I've know Kurt for a long time. I've had the honor of hunting with him a number of times. If there is one thing I've come to know for sure about him is the that luck in the smallest part of his success. It took him more luck to draw the tag after...

Not what I was after, but...

I set out some fish traps in order to catch some Utah chubs to use for cut bait. I baited the the traps with bread and checked them the next day. No fish, but these dang crawdads were in the traps. Who knew they ate bread? Anyway not being one to pass up an opportunity I introduced them to a pot...

Yes, I still use jigs of various design, as well as, flies, jerk baits, and anything I think will work. :)

Back In Action (Trout Central) Pic Heavy!!!

Is the brown trout showing up at the bottom of my post? It sometimes is showing up on my computer and sometimes not.

Back In Action (Trout Central) Pic Heavy!!!

As far as numbers go I've definitely had better summers, but at least the size was there. I will always take quality over quantity! First up are some really decent sized Bonneville cutthroat trout. All three of these are different fish and all over 20". I averaged about 3 hours of fishing per...

    Beautiful

Just one more reason why I love the Rocky Mountains. I just cannot image living in a state without them. They are as much a part of my life as the air I breathe. For more pics follow me on Instagram @troyadams1964

When I Try To Be All Cool...

When I try to be all cool and stuff, it usually turns out like this. I will say this though, the fish helped capture both of our best sides. 😁 For more pics follow me on Instagram @troyadams1964

Spring FINALLY and Something to Smile About!

Man, it has been a long winter out West! We are a full month or more behind normal ice-out for here. It was so nice to finally fish open water this past weekend. I never get tired of catching a decent sized brook trout. It was a good afternoon with a dozen or so rainbows and 3 or 4 cutthroats as...
