Murderous Speedgoat!
Saw something I didn’t really think happened yesterday. Watched a buck pronghorn kill a smaller buck. I guess I knew it happened from time to time but dang that was crazy. Gored in the guts and died fairly quickly. -

Gun for an 8 year old.

Do you ever get the feeling that people are shooting animals and going back a year later to claim they found a “dead head”? The Muddy Elk - kids hunting book
Just finished this book with my 8 year old. We took turns reading a page at a time. Really darn good. Has actual hunting lessons (checking the wind, etc) and a good story of a boy and his Dad on an archery elk trip. Worth the $12 to read with your kid. 300 Blackout Bolt action, suppressed. Good short range stand gun for my wife/kid?
Will be almost completely silent. No recoil, shots 50 yards or less. Cheap Ruger with threaded barrel for like $599. Am I missing something? -
