Colorado newbie... GMU 22/42
I live in Texas and I’m planning my first elk hunt which will probably be solo in 3rd season. I’m looking at units 22 or 42. Has anyone hunted those? What was your experience like? Also, are overnight backpacking camps allowed on BLM land? We don’t have any of it in Texas and it’s not allowed...- TxOutdoorguy

Texas here...
I’m a lifelong outdoorsman looking to try my first elk hunt (solo) in Colorado during 3rd rifle season. I work as a cop/paramedic in Houston. Hoping to learn as much as I can for my upcoming hunt and beyond. Cheers- TxOutdoorguy
