For those of you that hunt solo is it by choice or circumstance?
I grew up hunting with my Dad and we hunted together constantly up until his health started to fail. At that point we even did a fair amount of road hunting which neither of us were accustomed to but nevertheless still had fun...
Anyone else get sick of hearing,
" well he wasn't the buck or bull I was after but at least I didn't go home empty handed"
Or "Not the one I wanted but at least I put meat in the freezer for the family "
Let's be real there's not many folks these days that are out hunting because they need...
So growing up hunting my Dad always taught me never to take a photo with an animal where you were sitting on top of that animal as it was disrespectful to the animal.
It's something that has stuck with me through the years and coming from a family where hunting was like religion I kinda took...
Finally finished my first Hawken rifle build after working on it off and on for the past two years. Looking forward to hunting with it this year.
If anyone has some builds please post your pics on here. And if anyone on here has any critique to offer I'm all ears. It was a bit more involved of...

$1095 shipped to the lower 48.
Scope does have some slight ring marks that I tried to show in the pictures. Free Cds dial has been used.

Was curious to see what folks on hunt talk thought about leupold scopes. Have you used many, were they reliable, have they failed you, if so how, didn't hold zero, didn't track etc.
If you have used them how far are your average shots.
Just curious as if you go to rokslide they are the worst...
Thought it might be fun to see pics and hear what all of your favorite hunts have been. I know if you're like me it's hard to pick just one but just for fun post some pics and a brief description of what your favorite has been.
I guess for me it would be the AK moose hunt I went on this past...
