    Loading to mag length

    Just watching hornady podcast on load development and they mentioned that there is nothing wrong with just loading to mag length and forgetting about messing with trying to get closer to the lands. Anybody just load to mag length and shoot? Thoughts?

    7 rem mag 160 accubond with h1000

    Hodgden website has load data for the 160 nosler partion listed as 66grains max load traveling at 2839 fps. That seems low to me. Does anyone have some h1000 data to share? and whats your max load? thanks

    How bad is an old wildfire to traverse?

    How bad is it to traverse blow down from a fire that was 13 years ago? I'm doing some e scouting in the pinedale region of western wyoming and it looks like alot of poles are on the ground. Is it impossible when you see that on the aerial photos? Thanks

    Did talley send me a wrong ring?

    First time I'm mounting a scope for a leupold on a weatherby. When I opened up the talley rings they are marked different. I ordered 30mm light weight lows and the rings are marked different. The first ring is marked 30L and the 2nd ring is marked 1L. Am I missing something? Thanks

    Picatinny rail or reg bases for mark v and vx6 scope?

    I got a weatherby mark v 257 mag and I want to mount my leupold vx6 3-18×44 to it. This being my first scope mount I'm not sure to go with a picatinny rail or regular mounts and weaver style rings? Any suggestions on which way to go? Thanks
