Shotgun for Elk
In the same post you cited, I said I did too.. sounds like you haven’t shot a scoped, rifled-bore shotgun with a sabot out to 100-150 with accuracy. It’s too easy… I will say, every time I’m packing my old single shot, I have 2 slugs with my extras in the sleeve on the stock.- Rack Daniels

I think another thing to note, is that originally it was, “they just record license plates” to, “They are used to track vehicles' license plates, models, makes and colors, so authorities can search a database for the exact movements of any car any time it is picked up by a camera.”- Rack Daniels

Shotgun for Elk
The only dudes I know killing elk with slugs, are targeting elk with slug guns. Not just slapping a hollow tip slug in a smooth bore bird gun… That said- I’d imagine it’d work amazing with practice and then confidence. I shot a whitetail doe with a slug out of a smooth bore and her legs flipped...- Rack Daniels

Snowboarding
Haven’t gotten to snowboard since high school. Been a skateboarder since I could walk so naturally when I moved to Montana as a young teen I got into it quickly. Like you said, life changes directions. Have fun and be safe out there! 🤙🏽- Rack Daniels
