Sorry if this is already being discussed, I didn't see it anywhere.
Just curious if anyone drew in Colorado 2nd draw. Results out today, had my son in for elk first rifle but didn't draw.
I live in Oklahoma so I don't get to go to several different stores to try on different boots. Scheels is the closest store that has good boots. Scheels carries Crispi, Kenetrek, Hoffman, Zamberlain.
Last year I bought a pair of Crispi West River insulated boots. I am just not fully satisfied...
No surprise that I didn't draw. Just usually throw my name in the hat because it's cheap with no expectations of actually drawing.
I'm not sure how many points I have, close to 20 by now probably. The way it's set up so that you can buy as many chances as you want I really don't see points are...
Just to be honest it has been bugging me. I have been looking to upgrade my hunting clothes. Looking real hard at Sitka and Stone Glacier. I like the idea of technical clothing for back country mountain hunting (puffy, quality rain gear, warmth).
I'm not in the "bro" "brah" whatever club, just...
My wife and I gave our 13 year old son a Ruger 10/22 for Christmas this year. He has really been enjoying shooting it. I won't let him take it out of the case without asking me, and he definitely cannot go shooting without my supervision. I have drilled safety into his head since he was young...
I'm not bringing this up asking for advice as I realize it's a personal preference as to hunting with an attached rifle bipod. I see pros and cons to both. I have a Christianson Firearms Carbon Classic that I really enjoy shooting and hunting with. It is chambered in 300 WM. I have killed...
My basic question is, do multiple bulls use the same wallow? And, do same wallows get used every year?
I found a fresh wallow Oct. 7th, sat 200 yards from it two days later and killed a bull about 70 yards from it. I believe he was headed to it.
Just thinking about trying to hunt same wallow on...
Let me bore you with my first elk story. I have had tag soup on my first 3 elk tags, all of which were archery. Idaho, Arizona, Wyoming. Idaho was otc, hit a raghorn high in back strap. Watched him run off then turn around and walk away. Arizona my glasses continued to fog up chasing the herd...
140 grams of synthetic down insulation.
I think the color is called charcoal. That's all that is left.
Mark down to $39.99.
Pursuit which is a company from Drake waterfowl clothing.
Just curious how it would compare to some of the high-end expensive stuff.
I have been making a few post about tents. I'm in the market to buy one. I found what I think is a pretty good deal on a new in box Canvas Camp Pro 500 16' bell tent. After some research and speaking to customer service I discovered that model don't come with a factory stove jack. She emailed me...
Just recently discovered this company out of Nampa, Idaho. Customer service rep claims the synthetic/canvas blend is better than the cotton canvas tents. Claims less mold if put up wet, more durable, etc. Seems less rigid than cotton canvas so Im concerned with how well will it hold up to snow...
I'm searching for a good quality tent that won't let me down in rain or cold. I have Colorado 1st rifle elk hunt coming mid October. I have decided on using wood heat. Obviously I don't want a leaky tent in rain or a flimsy tent that snow will smash.
Does anyone know the quality of the Teton...
Sad day we have come to in America when different views can result in assassination and assassination attempts on political figures/political activist.
Sympathy for his wife and young children.
Regardless of where you stand politically this is cowardly and disgusting.
I wish I had not watched...
I received an email this morning from Pope & Young club advertising the sale next Saturday. Not sure if it's through p&y or not. Might be worth checking out
I used my 5 points to draw first rifle. Last year same tag took 3 points to draw so I applied hoping point creep wouldn't get me. Soon to be 50 and never have killed an elk. I've been a part of 5 elk pack out/recoveries and 1 moose but none were mine. I've had 3 archery tags and got tag soup...
Need to remodel our house. Thinking about pulling out all the carpet and installing wood floor to cut down on dust allergies.
Here's the problem. The foundation has a crack down the middle of floor and I'm not spending the $50k to repair it.
The crack may be close to an inch higher on one side...
Just curious if there really is such a thing as a waterproof lace-up boot or is it a myth? Thinking about a boot for elk hunting among other hunts. I'm not meaning walking through creeks with boots fully submerged. Just a good boot that won't get your socks wet if walking through wet grass or if...
So about a week ago I checked my online banking app and discovered my NR moose tag refund credit to my checking account. Shortly after I spend the money with an online purchase to buy supplies for my company which I received later in the week. Last Friday evening comes along and my online...
