If you could hunt region G or H in the Gros Ventre wilderness

Admittedly having not spent time in either, the scenario you laid out with H sounds a lot more enjoyable to me.

    Leaving deer where they lay

I’ve shot does early and stayed put for a couple hours numerous times. If it’s warmish I may gut it real fast then keep hunting. In my part of Tennessee we’re allowed 3 does per day for the entirety of the season and I’ve been able to double and even triple up before this way. Have never done...

Minimum Elk Caliber. what do you think it is.

So many variables. .243 through the boiler room will kill one quicker than a .338 through the guts.

    Piebald whitetail

Sure does. I’m posting from my blind and have no obligations today. If I wasn’t sitting out here all day before that I sure am now

    Piebald whitetail

Have always hoped to see one and finally did this morning. Piebald fawn and mom milled around for about 15mins around my blind less than 30 yards away. Didn’t get very great photos, every time I’d try to take some mom would start to get antsy so I prioritized actually getting to watch it play...

    Tired of the lies

The reason you hear about them is because they are in fact rare. If they weren’t rare there wouldn’t be much reason to talk about it.

    Utah Paunsagunt Archery Deer

I don’t think he owes us anything. Folks chitting on him over his story may not sit well.

Do you use a scope with target turrets?

Wouldn’t take you up on that bet lol

Do you use a scope with target turrets?

No for me. I don’t shoot past MPBR with any of my setups.

Comparison of Resident Opportunities in Different States

Just took a look at gohunt and the good news for you is if you now presumably have 5 elk points in AZ there are 47 different cow tags with 100% draw odds. And lots of 20+ percent odds on late rifle bull tags. Good luck in the draw next year.

Pick me out a set of waders

I’m in year 3 of a pair of Frogg Toggs Grand Refuge waders and whenever they crap out I’ll be buying another one. Extremely warm and comfortable and they can be had for less than $300 if you shop around.

    Poached Bull Moose

IIRC Utah will give tags to people whose tips lead to convictions for poaching. Might be the best odds out there to get a sheep tag lol

POLL: when was the last time you went to a drive-in movie?

Actually went a couple times last summer. There’s one maybe 45mins from my house that operates April-October. It was usually a double feature and a ton of fun. Saw the new Top Gun and some girly movie my wife was excited about.
