I think There's a fine line there where you either have to stay smaller and do this or go to the next step (big step) and have someone you can trust to do that for you. The in between doesn't work out well.- Nick87

I'll tell you who gets screwed the most is the cooks. What a shitty underpaid job. My wife averages about $35 an hour take home waitressing. The cook makes $18 cash. What a rip off. That guy ought to be making a shit ton more. The entire business hinges on him and he makes about $3 more an hour...- Nick87

You'd be amazed at how many big tables leave nothing. It's nice that the other tables are usually generous or at least 20% for my wife. She says the biggest pain in the ass people are always the shittiest tippers.- Nick87

Normally I'd agree, the instance I was talking about my wife and the other waitress have known the guy (town veterinarian) their entire life. Nobody was pressuring him to the leave the $20.- Nick87

Yah I'm not tipping unless your working for tips. Maybe an exception somewhere but I'm not tipping the person making a real hourly wage. Fun fact-the owners of thr restaraunt had a regular who did carry out every Saturday. He was leaving $20 for my wife and the other waitress. Come to find out...- Nick87
