I gave my dad my 7 RM this year then had an issue with my .308 and had to send it to the factory. So 6.5 CM with 140 gr Nosler BT is the choice for me this fall. I'm not worried.
I would have been pretty stressed out walking up to it. It's 100% legal but too close for me personally. However not many people can say they have killed a UL ram with a bow.
So I did end up getting a comparator and the measurements were actually shorter. The case is barely growing and even virgin brass was showing 1.624. Fire formed brass was only growing about .005 and I set the die to not even knock the shoulder back. Still had misfires. I'll just send it back for...
I grabbed a couple boxes of favtory ammo yesterday and it's falling the same pattern. 1 to 2 out of 10 fail to ignite. So i think its the gun. I have contacted Bergara and I am just waiting to hear back.
9kay so using the 10mm measuring brass I got the following numbers.
Virgin Brass 1.63"
Once fired brass 1.635"
Dud rounds 1.627" and 1.629"
Firing pin protrusion is 0.073"
So I must have full length sided a couple. I guess I will back the die up some more and then fire form some brass. Because...
Yeah they are the only brass that doesn't need any prep work. I probably dont even need to do the neck size. I have never had an issue with any other peterson brass. And since I have had the issue with peterson, startline and Hornady I either have my dies set up wrong or the gun has an issue.
The raw would be virgin brass. I usually just neck size with the virgin brass. The other 10 had been neck sized and loaded but are still unfired.
I had done the head space with the brass that was bad and that had fired in the past. And had found the bad ones were short. I will pull the bullets...
Okay so here we are again. I have had the gun is pieces since March when I ordered a new stock for it. After 6.5 months that was supposed to be 8 weeks I have my new stock. The new stock is great I love it actually. What I don't love is the fact that I am still having rounds fail to ignite...
Glad you got your bull. Coming from a guy who spent almost an entire month searching for a mature bull to never find one it can get discouraging. Glad you had a great hunt!
The wife and I bought a freeze dryer last year and what I was scared of has happened. I spent $1800 used it for 3 months and then pretty much forgot about it. Well it is time to dust it back off and start making some more meals. Unfortunately there is a pretty good learning curve to this freeze...
I have not done an in depth quote but from what i have been told im looking at about 20k. I have an ton of south facing windows. It's great in the winter because it warms up the house but the summer can get brutal.
Going to give this a try. Gave my dad's gun a good clean and tear down when he asked me to get it threaded. Prior to the tear down I had made a load for it and it was shooting about 1.25 to 1.5 MOA. I was plenty happy with that out of this old gun. However when I reassembled I couldn't get good...
This last year wasnt too bad for us. The warm weather helped. I think i just paid $400 ish to top off the tank.
Do they have a leak somewhere? My home is about 2400 sq ft and we usually use about 300 to 400 gallons a year.
Back to the OG thread. Prices have definitely affected my drive 2 hours...
