    The audiobook version of Lonesome Dove in Spotify is really good. Will Patton does an amazing job. Kind of a life changing book in some ways. Amazing story.

    I sit next to a fish biologist at work. He did the trail cam at the boat launch technique to count anglers and when he told me boat launches get used for anything and everything, he really meant it.

    They do use private trail cam data for studies, at least here in MN. One instance was for a gut pile study, but I think there may have been others as well.

    Pick your spots and you might could, especially if it’s cold and they are concentrated in more marginal cover. If it’s warm and they are all spread out in the short grass prairie it might be tough without a dog.

    I don’t know anything about the trout fishing, but in November I might rather chase pheasant and sharptails around, of which are plentiful in the area.

    How much noodling is too much? This ash I’m trying to split is so wavy grained and has so many knots so Im noodling crotch sections and some of the rounds into more manageable sizes. Am I gonna ruin my saw?
