I like early
November. Seem to daylight a bit better but still hang around the area. Later in the season never know where they will be. I always try to get one spot up north further cause can get the earlier season dates
We had been hot and dry for about a week so I watered the garden Saturday night. Was a chance of rain Sunday but not much. Well we got 9/10’s of rain Sunday so the garden is very wet now lol
I thought for sure if anything was going to be wrecked it would have been out tomatoes. Last year about June 15 we got a big shot of hail and rain that cut down most our our tomatoes and peppers
We were away for two days and in those two days we had two tornadoes in the area and received over 3” of down pour rain and hail. Didn’t get home till midnight last night so just checked the garden. Beans and beets beat up but I think they will be ok. Out late beets and carrots they are flat to...
I have been breaking my elk and moose into 6 pieces for years cause it’s easier to manage on my own. All four quarters and then two half sections of ribs
Lettuce is doing good. Onions are in a raised box and doesn’t have enough drainage so some rotting issues. Oh well know for next year. Potatoes are getting close to flowering. Cut a bunch of scapes off my garlic last night. Carrots, beans and beets are doing good. Tomatoes and peppers haven’t...
Sat for him last night with no luck. Saw a sow and 4 fluff balls and two yearlings but not this guy. He beat us in 2024 and 2025 but is the main target now. Might need to do some tweaks to location slightly for next year
Not yet. I have about given up. Unfortunately on my one bait as soon as the sow that was there all spring kicked her yearlings off she went wandering. Came through twice in random mornings and had a big BF each time. Had one big one on my other bait but he eventually wandered off too
