I don’t know. I spent a lot of years working with bison all over. I can’t see from the video that the guy did anything necessarily wrong, but he sure wasn’t picking up the body language cues. Disappointing, but I guess the writing was on the wall with this one. Habitat loss and degradation is the major factor resulting in listings to begin with, so it’s hard to fathom how impacts to habitat aren’t to be considered “harm”. My mother-in-law had one and the speed of recovery was impressive. She was in her 60’s. She was navigating the stairs from day one and mowing the lawn by week two. The sleep brace and aggressive calf stretching they prescribed at first actually made mine worse, for some reason. 🤷🏻♀️ I found that stretching a little less aggressively, but focusing on the entire lower body (glutes, hammies, and calves) helped.
