New Bolt Action Rifle Recommendations
I prefer the browning x bolt 2 with the adjustable comb and adjustable length.of pull. Not much for aftermarket support though if you want to tinker with it. If you want something to tinker with and customize I'd say go with a Tikka t3x .- elkfanatic

Hanging the kill
My cooler is big enough to hang most deer whole but larger critters like elk/ pigs get quartered and hung up that way. I haven't noticed any difference in meat quality. Double Lung Hit that goes 1.5 miles??
When I started bow hunting when I was in my teens I ran with whatever cheap broadheads I could afford. Screwed em on, verified my point of impact with each broadheads/arrow on a foam block and went hunting. How many bullets for backpack elk hunt?

Suppressor help
For me I would have it rethreaded to 5/8-24 if the barrel is thick enough. If it's too thin you can get a 1/2"-28× 5/8"-24 adapter for your barrel ( stay away from the cheap ones!!! ) or you can get a different end cap for your suppressor that's threaded 1/2"-28.
