I’m a long ways from Bozeman but if I can finish my workload next year by late July it would be an excuse to drive up there.
I’m almost done with my workload now, about 3 weeks worth to go.
My goal has been to finish by mid summer to close shop and flee from the hot desert until fall.

Mine had rubber tips too but after hiking in scree it wore the rubber off and then sharpened it to a nice point.
TSA in NZ was going to take it from me but then gave me a pass . He said “I’ll let you slide but I can’t guarantee the next guy will”
My wife, dog, and myself were dropped off for $500 total. We weren’t looking for a ride, we were testing our gear loaded on the kayak on the river and were approached by a transporter who was going to make a dry run up to pick up some hunters.

33 day roadtrip starting out 119* in SoCal desert to the Arctic Ocean in September has a lot of variables.
All my bags are down, whether it be for Hawaii at sea level or Alaska in winter.
I have numerous bags in 20* increments from thin as a sheet to -20*
When I drove from California to The Arctic in late August I had 4 sleeping bags for the different climates.
Canceled my flights to Adak Alaska. Just can’t bring myself to putting my Labrador in cargo.
Going to do a road trip to NorCal near Shasta for mule deer, black bear (hopefully a cinnamon) and waterfowl. If I get real lucky Mt.Quail too.
